This
system was designed to monitor the levels and weight within a number of Pre
Loading Tanks and also control each tanks fill and dump valves.
The
system was based around the Mitsubishi Q Series Redundant PLC System with a
15" HMI connected over Ethernet.
All
level signals were via LevelComm pneumatic level controller over Modbus
communication. These controllers transmitted the height and volume of each
pre-load tank. The S.G. of each tank had to be transmitted to each
LevelComm to ensure the correct volume calculation.
